Two meteor showers, the Southern Delta Aquariids and Alpha Capricornids, will peak simultaneously on July 30th. Active since July, they'll produce up to 30 meteors per hour. The Southern Delta Aquariids, best viewed in the Southern Hemisphere, originate from the Aquarius constellation. The Alpha Capricornids, while less intense, offer bright fireballs. To maximize viewing, find a dark location away from city lights after midnight on July 30th. The waxing crescent moon won't significantly hinder visibility.
