Denmark has purchased four U.S.-made MQ-9B SkyGuardian long-range maritime drones from General Atomics for enhanced Arctic surveillance. The drones, expected between 2028-2029, will operate in the Arctic, North Atlantic, and Baltic Sea. This acquisition, in cooperation with NATO allies, addresses growing Russian activity in the Arctic. The drones' cold-weather capabilities are a key factor, with delivery slated for 2028-2029.
