A Ukrainian Dassault Mirage 2000 fighter jet, donated by France, crashed on July 22, 2025. The pilot ejected safely and is in stable condition. No ground casualties were reported. A special commission is investigating the cause of the crash, attributed to an equipment failure. This is the first loss of a French-donated Mirage 2000 and follows the destruction of several donated F-16s. The Ukrainian Air Force received the Mirage jets in February after France modified them for air-to-ground missions.
