13-year-old Micah Clayborne, whose mother has a history of heart issues, was diagnosed with Danon disease, a rare genetic condition requiring a heart transplant. Micah's heart was functioning at only 7%, mirroring his mother's past struggles with peripartum cardiomyopathy. Following a successful transplant in October 2024, Micah and his mother launched Transplant Teenz, a support group for teenagers awaiting organ transplants.
