The Norwegian Nobel Committee issued a statement expressing alarm over the threats, highlighting that Mohammadi's security is at risk unless she ceases all public engagement and advocacy. The threats follow recent reports from Western intelligence agencies detailing an increase in Iranian plots to target dissidents abroad. Iran's foreign ministry has yet to comment.
