Major blackout hits Czech Republic

A major blackout hit the Czech Republic on Friday, disrupting public transport, including train lines and Prague's subway. The grid operator, CEPS, attributed the outage to a fallen power line, and power was restored to most areas quickly. While train services in five districts were initially halted, Prague's subway lines were largely back online within 30 minutes. Authorities ruled out a cyber or terror attack. The incident follows a larger blackout in Spain and Portugal earlier this year, highlighting the vulnerability of power grids.
