Two elderly female tourists, a 68-year-old from the UK and a 67-year-old from New Zealand, were killed by an elephant in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. The elephant, protecting its calf, charged despite safari guides' attempts to intervene with warning shots. This follows similar incidents last year involving elderly female American tourists. The incident occurred during a walking safari, approximately 600 kilometers from Lusaka.
