Iran Suspends IAEA Cooperation After Airstrikes

Following US and Israeli airstrikes on its nuclear facilities, Iran has suspended cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). President Masoud Pezeshkian's order, mandated by a recently passed law, halts cooperation until security concerns are addressed. While Iran's Foreign Minister signaled continued openness to negotiations with the US, Israel strongly condemned the move, urging the implementation of UN sanctions. The suspension, though concerning, falls short of experts' worst-case scenarios of a complete IAEA withdrawal or abandonment of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
