Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the killing of Hamas co-founder Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa in a Gaza airstrike. Al-Issa, a key figure in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, was responsible for Hamas' military buildup and planning the attack that killed over 1200 people. The IDF reported Al-Issa was eliminated alongside his wife and grandson during Friday night's bombings in Gaza City's Sabra neighborhood. Al-Issa, a veteran of conflicts in Iraq and Syria, brought significant military expertise to Hamas since 2005.
