Amazon Studios has selected Denis Villeneuve to direct the 26th James Bond film, aiming for a 2028 release. The studio is seeking a British actor under 30, with Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, and Harris Dickinson among the frontrunners. Villeneuve's involvement is a one-off deal, and the Broccoli family has relinquished creative control, retaining only a financial stake. A writer is yet to be confirmed, though Jonathan Nolan was considered.
