Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla made history as the first Indian to set foot on the International Space Station (ISS). He was part of the Axiom-4 (Ax-4) mission, a multi-national crew also including astronauts from Poland and Hungary. The Ax-4 mission, a collaboration between NASA, ISRO, ESA, and SpaceX, launched Wednesday and docked with the ISS Thursday. Shukla's two-week mission involves conducting 60 scientific experiments, and his experience will aid India's ambitious human spaceflight program, aiming for a crewed mission in 2027.
