A micromoon, also known as a strawberry moon, will grace the night sky on June 11th, reaching its fullest phase at 3:44 a.m. ET. However, optimal viewing will be on June 10th at sunset. Named by Native American tribes for the June strawberry harvest, this full moon will appear smaller and dimmer than usual due to its distance from Earth, exhibiting a golden rather than red hue. The moon's low arc will cause atmospheric reflection, further influencing its color. This is the last full moon before the summer solstice.
