Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Eggs Sickens Dozens

A salmonella outbreak linked to 1.7 million recalled eggs from August Egg Company has sickened 79 people across seven states, mostly in the West. The recall, issued in May, covered brown organic and cage-free eggs distributed from February 3 to May 15. The CDC reports 21 hospitalizations, with the majority of illnesses occurring in California. No deaths have been reported.
