Court Rules Blake Lively Can't Pursue Emotional Distress Claims

Blake Lively has dropped her emotional distress claim in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, the director of "It Ends With Us." This follows a judge's rejection of Lively's attempt to refile the claim later. While dropping the claim, Lively's lawyers stated she will continue pursuing damages for sexual harassment and retaliation, arguing Baldoni's actions exposed him to greater liability. Baldoni opposed the move, citing Lively's refusal to provide medical records. The judge's ruling prevents Lively from refiling the emotional distress claim unless Baldoni agrees. Lively can still formally dismiss the claim without prejudice, but doing so would prevent her from presenting emotional distress evidence.
