Countries still far apart but agree prisoner swap

Ukraine and Russia held a second round of peace talks in Istanbul, resulting in an agreement to exchange sick, wounded, and underage prisoners of war. However, significant disagreements remain, with Ukraine demanding an unconditional ceasefire and Russia rejecting it, instead proposing a truce in certain areas. Both sides remain far apart on key issues, including territorial concessions. While a prisoner exchange was agreed upon, direct talks between Presidents Zelensky and Putin remain elusive, with expectations for a major breakthrough low.
