La Boulangerie Bakery in East Orange, NJ, was unusually empty on Saturday following a Supreme Court decision. The ruling allows the revocation of temporary legal status for immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who entered the US under a program established in 2022 and 2023. Bakery owner Rosemond Clerval attributes the lack of customers to widespread fear among the Haitian community, many of whom are now facing potential deportation.
