Three ancient Egyptian tombs dating back to the New Kingdom era (1539-1077 BCE) have been discovered in Luxor's Dra' Abu El Naga necropolis. The tombs belonged to three prominent statesmen: Amun-em-Ipet (who worked at the Amun temple), Baki (a granary supervisor), and Es (a temple supervisor, mayor, and scribe). The discovery, made by an all-Egyptian team, is considered significant for Egypt's archaeological record. Further study of the tombs and their inscriptions is planned.
