McDonald's is shutting down its CosMc's spinoff, five alien-themed locations, after just two years. Launched in 2023 to compete with specialty beverage chains, CosMc's offered customizable drinks and snacks but failed to gain traction. McDonald's cited recent sales declines and a desire to focus on its core business. While CosMc's is closing in June, some menu items may be incorporated into McDonald's core offerings.
