AMD unveiled its Ryzen Threadripper 9000 Series CPUs at Computex, targeting workstation professionals and enthusiasts. The flagship Threadripper Pro 9995WX boasts 96 cores and 192 threads, claiming 2.2x Cinebench speed over Intel's Xeon. The 64-core Ryzen Threadripper 9980X also offers high performance. All chips feature a 350W TDP and sTR5 socket compatibility (with BIOS update). Retail availability is slated for July, with pricing yet to be announced but expected to be high-end.
