A Mexican Navy sailing ship, the ARM Cuauhtémoc, collided with the Brooklyn Bridge's underside on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of two crew members: cadet América Yamileth Sánchez Hernández (20) and sailor Adal Jair Maldonado Marcos (23). At least 22 others were injured. The ship, carrying 277 people including 175 naval cadets, was on a goodwill tour. The accident, captured on numerous videos, caused significant damage to the ship's masts and rigging.
