Apple Pays $95M for Unintentional Siri Recordings

Read, Watch or Listen

Apple is distributing $95 million to US customers whose Siri voice assistant unintentionally recorded private conversations between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. This settlement follows a 2019 class-action lawsuit alleging privacy violations. Eligible users can claim up to $20 per device (maximum five devices) through a dedicated website until July 2nd, 2025. The claim process requires users to attest under oath to unintentional Siri activations.
