The funeral of Pope Francis concluded Saturday with a solemn procession carrying his wooden coffin from St. Peter's Square through Rome to the Basilica of St. Mary Major. Nearly half a million mourners gathered in St. Peter's Square, and crowds lined the route. The coffin, marked with a cross, was carried by pallbearers. The Pope's final journey ended at St. Mary Major, a basilica he visited over 100 times during his papacy.
