The British Army successfully tested a new radio-wave weapon capable of neutralizing drone swarms. Developed by Thales UK, the weapon uses high-frequency radio waves to disable drones' electronic components, causing them to malfunction or crash. In trials, over 100 drones were incapacitated, with two swarms taken down in a single engagement. The low-cost system, costing approximately 10 pence per shot, offers a cost-effective alternative to missile-based defenses and could protect sensitive areas from drone threats. The successful test was conducted at Air Defence Range Manorbier in Wales.
