However, socioeconomic factors showed less consistent correlation with ASD prevalence. While early identification has improved, the male-to-female ratio remains skewed, and the study suggests a need for increased access to diagnostic services, particularly for underserved communities. The impact of COVID-19 on ASD identification appeared minimal.
