HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" series, debuting in 2026, has announced its first six cast members. John Lithgow (Dumbledore), Janet McTeer (McGonagall), Paapa Essiedu (Snape), Nick Frost (Hagrid), Paul Whitehouse (Filch), and Luke Thallon (Quirrell) will portray iconic characters. Casting for Harry, Ron, and Hermione, which saw over 32,000 children audition, is underway, with filming beginning mid-2025. The series, filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, promises a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling's novels.
