A micromoon, the smallest of 2025's three, will grace the night sky on April 12th. Despite its "pink moon" moniker, it will appear white-golden due to reflected sunlight, smaller than average and dimmer than a supermoon. This celestial event, visible in both hemispheres, reaches its peak at 6:22 p.m. MT. For optimal viewing, NASA suggests using binoculars or telescopes in areas with minimal light pollution. The name "pink moon" refers to the spring blooming of pink wildflowers, not the moon's color. Further celestial events this year include supermoons and various meteor showers.
