Delta Halts Flight Expansion Amid Weak Bookings

Read, Watch or Listen

Delta Air Lines announced it will not expand its flight capacity in the second half of 2025 due to weaker-than-expected bookings. CEO Ed Bastian attributed this to softening consumer and corporate confidence, partly linked to President Trump's trade policies. The airline's second-quarter revenue forecast is now a decline of up to 2% or growth up to 2%, lower than Wall Street projections. While first-quarter results exceeded expectations, Delta is prioritizing margin protection amid economic uncertainty.
