Bears Acquire Jeffery Simmons in Blockbuster | JQJO

The Chicago Bears have completed a blockbuster trade with the Tennessee Titans, acquiring star defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons. In exchange, the Bears sent the Titans two first‑round picks for 2027 and 2028, a fourth‑round pick in 2027, and received a 2028 fifth‑round pick. Simmons, an All‑Pro defensive tackle, is regarded as one of the best interior linemen in the league, ranking twelfth overall, fifth in pass‑rush, and sixteenth in run defense among his peers. The trade addresses Chicago’s need for a stronger interior pass‑rush and run defense after losing Gervon Dexter before the season. The Titans, rebuilding, view the haul as valuable for future draft capital.
