Amazon’s 2026 Paperwhite Signature Edition receives several refinements that enhance its premium feel while keeping the core features intact.

The new model sports an aluminum back and a 300‑dpi high‑contrast display, and it is one millimeter thinner than its predecessor.

The front bezels of the Seaglass Green variant are color‑matched to the back panel, improving its aesthetic compared to earlier models that had mismatched fronts.

The power button has moved to the top‑right edge, a location familiar to smartphone users, while the USB‑C port remains at the bottom.

Amazon replaces the 2024 wireless‑charging design with pogo pins on the back, enabling accessories such as the $80 Page Turn Cover and a $60 charging stand.

The device retains its IPX8 waterproof rating, making it suitable for beach or pool use.
