Gamers seeking a PC that rivals the PlayStation 5 Pro have found a close match in AMD’s Ryzen 5 5600X. The console’s custom AMD hardware delivers high resolutions and framerates, but the 5600X can keep pace in most games. Digital Foundry’s tests on Cyberpunk 2077 show the PS5 Pro reaching up to 90 FPS in performance mode, while the 5600X averages just below 90 FPS and dips to 60 FPS in heavy‑use scenarios. With ray tracing enabled, the 5600X maintains an average of 60 FPS on Ultra settings, matching the console’s locked 60 FPS. Although higher‑end CPUs can outperform the PS5 Pro, the 5600X offers a cost‑effective alternative for gamers after the console’s $900 price hike.
