Colts Fire GM Chris Ballard After Week Six Loss | JQJO

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that general manager Chris Ballard was relieved of his duties. Owner Carlie Irsay‑Gordon said a change in leadership is necessary to meet the team’s championship standard. Ballard has served as GM since 2017 and the decision comes after the Colts sit at two wins and four losses following a home defeat to the Tennessee Titans. The move follows criticism from star player DeForest Buckner, who expressed frustration with the organization. Ballard’s tenure included drafting Shaquille Leonard and Jonathan Taylor, signing Daniel Jones, and trading for Sauce Gardner.
