Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported Apple will unveil its new HomeView smart home hub during the Welcome Home event on October thirteenth. The floating display sits atop a speaker base and will feature an A18 chip, echoing the design of the iMac G4. HomeView will appear in four colors—space gray, silver, starlight, and pink—while a wall‑mounted version offers only silver or space gray. The hub will primarily use voice input, with Siri AI as the centerpiece, and will run Apple apps without an App Store, though third‑party widgets may project from a nearby iPhone. Apple plans a mid‑November release, integrating with smart thermostats, door locks, and doorbells from partners such as LG, and signals upcoming refreshes for the Apple TV set‑top box and HomePod mini.
