During the second episode of Survivor Season 51, titled Weaponized Honesty, contestant Brady Booker suffered a severe physical injury at the Toka camp. While chopping wood with an axe, Booker accidentally severed a portion of his thumb. Medical personnel immediately attended to the wound, administering emergency treatment and bandages, which allowed Booker to remain in the active competition. Later in the broadcast, strategy shifted dramatically during the Savu tribe Tribal Council. Contestant Rob Antonson attempted an unprecedented move by trying to vote for himself in the voting booth to protect his ally Eric Macksoud. Show production intervened, clarifying that official game rules strictly prohibit players from casting votes against themselves. Evolving past this, Antonson subsequently cast his vote for Macksoud. Despite this procedural confusion and multiple strategic maneuvers, the Savu alliance successfully shifted its primary target, resulting in Ana Sani being blindsided and eliminated from the island vote count today.
