Swiss pharmaceutical giant Roche announced plans to transition toward autonomous artificial intelligence laboratories to accelerate research and development discovery during its investor day. Executive Vice President Aviv Regev stated that the company is committed to artificial intelligence independence in its research operations and has initiated the construction of autonomous AI-driven facilities. Roche plans to reallocate approximately two billion Swiss francs from research and development savings toward digital programs and productivity initiatives by 2026.
