The United Nations reports a twentyfold surge in daily crossings of Sudanese refugees fleeing into Chad, driven by escalating violence in Darfur, Kordofan, and Blue Nile states. Over the past week, crossing rates through Adre and Tine exceeded 400 individuals per day, bringing total arrivals this year to more than 55,000. Nearly 1 million people have crossed into Chad since the civil war erupted in April 2023.
