Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon and television actress Hannah Einbinder were detained by the New York Police Department on Thursday during a demonstration near United Nations headquarters in New York City. Organizers reported that more than one hundred individuals were taken into custody, including several political candidates and local officials. Representatives for the detained actors have not yet issued statements regarding the arrests.
