Prosecutors in Miami County, Ohio, presented artificial intelligence love songs composed by former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn for his mistress during his ongoing murder trial. Flynn, a former church music pastor, is charged with aggravated murder in the February 16, 2026, shooting death of his wife, Ashley Flynn, inside their Tipp City home. Authorities allege Flynn shot his wife twice in the back of the head while she slept and subsequently staged the residence to resemble a burglary. During testimony, Flynn's mistress, Alleigha Botner, detailed their extramarital relationship and shared text exchanges in which both parties discussed eliminating Ashley Flynn. Botner further testified that she conducted online searches via ChatGPT regarding methods to permanently delete messaging history and forwarded instructions to Flynn prior to the homicide. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, and witness intimidation as trial proceedings continue in state court.
