Director Louisa Proske is making her highly anticipated Metropolitan Opera debut with a brand-new staging of Giuseppe Verdi’s Macbeth for the 2026 and 2027 season. Marking the institution's first new production of the opera in twenty years, Proske characterizes the psychological thriller as a terrifying tale for modern times.
