Nebraska and Notre Dame have officially agreed to a home-and-home football series scheduled for the 2032 and 2033 college football seasons, athletic departments from both universities announced Wednesday. The opening game will take place at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln on October 30, 2032, followed by a matchup at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend on October 29, 2033. This iconic non-conference pairing marks the first time these storied programs will meet on the gridiron in more than three decades. Historically, Nebraska holds a narrow 8–7–1 advantage in the series, having won the last two meetings played in 2000 and 2001. Both programs rank among the top ten in all-time victories, with Notre Dame sitting fourth at 974 wins and Nebraska eighth at 933. Combined, the universities hold 13 national championships. Troy Dannen, Nebraska athletic director, highlighted the high fan enthusiasm for visiting South Bend and welcoming Notre Dame to Lincoln.
