Boeing is reportedly close to finalizing an agreement to salvage a delayed order of one hundred fifty 737 MAX jets from Turkish Airlines. The multi-billion-dollar deal faced uncertainty last year when the carrier threatened to shift its order entirely to rival Airbus amid a pricing and service dispute with engine manufacturer CFM International. Turkish Airlines also sought to establish its own Premier maintenance plant for CFM engines to gain accelerated access to advanced repair technology. Although engine pricing friction created public tension, industry sources indicate negotiations have progressed positively. Meanwhile, senior airline executives noted the carrier continues evaluating various single-aisle and widebody aircraft options to support the rapid expansion of its primary hub in Istanbul. The resolution prevents a major blow to Boeing's commercial backlog and stabilizes its partnership with one of the world's largest international carriers as supply chain pressures persist across the global aviation sector.
