PwC US is restructuring its offshore operations in India by forming a controlling joint venture with PwC India. Under the internal memo sent by PwC US CEO Paul Griggs, PwC US Advisory's India-based Acceleration Centers will merge with PwC India's local consulting practice. PwC US will retain a 50.1% controlling interest in the new entity, while PwC India will hold 49.9%. Sanjeev Krishan, chairperson of PwC India, will lead the combined venture as Chief Executive Officer. The strategic integration aims to scale artificial intelligence, technology, and engineering capabilities while eliminating administrative hurdles when US engagement teams need offshore capacity. The transaction is projected to increase combined consulting revenues from $1.3 billion to $2 billion, creating a unified platform of 40,000 employees. Subject to regulatory clearances from Indian authorities, the transaction is expected to close in the first half of calendar year 2027.
