Michigan defeated eleventh-ranked Oklahoma seventeen to ten on Saturday in Ann Arbor, Michigan, bouncing back from a shaky season opener. Wolverines quarterback Bryce Underwood recorded eighty-seven rushing yards and one touchdown alongside one hundred eleven passing yards without a turnover. Following a defensive interception by Jyaire Hill in the fourth quarter, running back Jordan Marshall scored on a one-yard run to break a ten-all tie. Oklahoma struggled offensively, remaining scoreless until John Mateer connected with Mackenzie Alleyne for a twenty-two-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The Sooners also lost standout linebacker Kip Lewis to a right knee injury during the first half. Oklahoma failed to capitalize on two late offensive drives, turning the ball over on downs and running out of time. The victory improves Michigan to two and zero, likely returning the team to the AP Top 25 rankings, while Oklahoma drops to one and one.
