The United States and Europe finished the opening foursomes session of the 2026 Solheim Cup tied 2-2 on Friday at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz gave the Americans the first point, beating Charley Hull and rookie Lottie Woad 4 and 3. The victory extended Korda and Corpuz's foursomes record together to 5-0, making them the first partnership in Solheim Cup history to win five consecutive foursomes matches. Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin added another U.S. point with a 3-and-2 victory over Celine Boutier and Nanna Koerstz Madsen. Europe answered through Maja Stark and Linn Grant, who defeated Rose Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho 3 and 2, and Esther Henseleit and Leona Maguire, who beat Andrea Lee and Lindy Duncan 2 up. The afternoon fourballs followed, leaving both teams level after the first session. The Americans entered as defending champions after winning the 2024 matches 15.5-12.5 in Virginia.
