Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson entered a plea of not guilty in Cleveland Municipal Court regarding a speeding citation issued by the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Watson was pulled over on August 26 while driving a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck on Interstate 480 in Cleveland, where a trooper clocked him traveling 86 miles per hour in a designated 60 mph zone. The traffic stop occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m., just one day before the team's final preseason game against the New England Patriots. Court records show a bench trial has been scheduled for September 23 to address the charge. The legal matter surfaces as Watson prepares to lead the Browns into the early weeks of the regular season following a recovery period from injuries that sidelined him.
