Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens has responded to recent remarks made by New York Giants cornerback Greg Newsome regarding their upcoming matchup and team capabilities. Newsome previously acknowledged the Cowboys wide receivers as great players while asserting that the Giants possess a strong cornerback room ahead of their Week 1 game. Responding to these remarks, Pickens stated that Newsome is entitled to his perspective, though the Cowboys hold a completely different view of the matchup. The two players share a competitive history from the 2024 NFL season when Pickens played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Newsome played for the Cleveland Browns, including a physical scuffle during a late-game play in November 2024.
