Early Emmys ceremony could bring many trophies for ‘The Pitt,’ ‘Hacks’ and ‘Pluribus’

The Television Academy has restructured the 78th Emmy Awards by rebranding the traditional Creative Arts Emmys as the first two nights of the main ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Over 100 awards are distributed across the weekend, featuring major nominations for HBO Max series “The Pitt” and “Hacks,” alongside Apple TV rookie shows “Pluribus” and “Widow’s Bay.” The weekend events include unscripted, variety, drama, comedy, and limited series categories, with selected portions edited for a September 12 broadcast on FXX and Hulu. Furthermore, the academy shifted five categories from the live September 14 NBC telecast to Sunday's lineup, increasing star power with prominent presenters and nominees. Notable recognition includes posthumous acknowledgment for late actor Rob Reiner and milestone nominations for performers such as Michael J. Fox and autistic advocate Tal Anderson, highlighting diverse representation across multiple competitive television fields.
