Speaking at the SEMICON trade show in Taipei, Lai emphasized that TSMC remains a trusted partner for global artificial intelligence infrastructure. The remarks come amid ongoing discussions regarding supply chain resilience and international manufacturing concentration. U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg noted via a pre-recorded message that Taiwan is expanding manufacturing bases within the United States.
