Jesse Minter Backs Tyler Loop as Week 1 Kicker

Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter stated on Monday that young kicker Tyler Loop retains the team full confidence and remains positioned to handle kicking duties for the opening game. Loop endured a difficult exhibition campaign, converting five of eight field goal attempts, which included two missed kicks during a victory against the Washington Commanders. The struggles followed a critical miss late in the previous season that hurt the franchise playoff pursuit. In response to the inconsistency, Baltimore signed veteran kicker Jake Moody to the practice squad, establishing immediate internal competition and depth.
