Coyote vs. Acme opened with an estimated $15.5 million in U.S. and Canadian theaters, finishing second behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day during the weekend ending August 30, 2026, according to the Associated Press. Spider-Man remained No. 1 for a fifth consecutive weekend with $22.2 million domestically and reached about $2.33 billion worldwide, placing fourth among the highest-grossing films. Coyote vs. Acme, produced by Warner Bros., had been shelved by the studio in 2023 before independent distributor Ketchup Entertainment acquired worldwide distribution rights. The Looney Tunes hybrid received an A CinemaScore and a 95% Rotten Tomatoes critics score, according to the AP report. Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars opened fifth with $8 million domestically and $11.3 million overseas, against a reported production cost of $70 million to $100 million. The Odyssey earned $14.3 million domestically in its seventh weekend and $48.6 million internationally.
