A viral video falsely claiming internet streamer Kai Cenat was assaulted by law enforcement during a traffic stop has been officially debunked by authorities. The footage actually depicts the August 19 arrest of twenty-three-year-old passenger Tedrick Washington during a high-speed vehicle pursuit in Blytheville, Arkansas. According to Arkansas State Police records, Trooper Theodore Henderson stopped an Infiniti QX50 after it traveled eighty-two miles per hour in a sixty-mile-per-hour zone before reaching one hundred thirty miles per hour. Washington was pulled from the vehicle and struck after allegedly refusing to exit and posturing to fight officers. Driver Adonerus Johnson faces felony fleeing and driving while intoxicated charges, while Washington faces obstruction and resisting arrest charges. Officials confirmed Kai Cenat was neither present nor involved in the incident. Social media users shared the video with altered captions to generate online outrage, highlighting ongoing challenges regarding misinformation and digital verification across major online platforms.
